Who is this guy?
I am a good ol’ July baby of the great year 1987. So, although I frequently complain about being old, I know I’m not THAT old and have a long way to go; but I sure feel old more often than not. I am a Toledo, Ohio native; and don’t see me leaving anytime soon. Not sure if that is a good thing or not. From 2006 until Spring 2011, I attended the University of Toledo. During my time there I studied Education (grades7-12) in the fields of Integrated Science for a year before moving to English; and finally dropping to pursuing an English degree. While at UT I participated in UT-BASH, a gaming organization that helped me to build most of the social network that I now possess. I was also able to have the pleasure and pain of forming the University of Toledo Writer's Guild. The UTWG is a student organization that has helped get other writers together under one roof to promote, critique, and spread their work. Unfortunately I have yet to finish my degree but do plan to do so as soon as I can.
I spend my days working like anyother good citicen. Bestest job so far has been working for Toledo Public School as a paraprofessional. I love working with kids. The grand dream remains to teach high school English; but teaching kindergartners the basics was a nice start. My nights are never too exciting; either I work, or i'm chilling at home. I work a few nights a week at Marco's Pizza. Loved their food way before I ever worked there. Always had a great crew to work with, and it's been a good second and back up job to have.
I am a hopeless gamer. I've spent much of my life lost in the Borderlands (for non fans: Borderlands 1, 2, and The Pre-Sequel); wasted well over a WEEK (total hours played) on Fallout 4, as well as immersing into Halo and some Call of Duty. I love a good action movie and any movie that Jason Statham has been in; pretty sure he's one of my spirit animals. Comedies are my next choice; with horror movies following behind. I do watch the occasional anime from time to time; though I've lessened on my devotion to the medium. The last anime series that is in my top series of any genre, is Space Dandy. I do still read many different manga series, namely Rosario + Vampire, Hellsing, Rurouni Kenshin, and Chibi Vampire. I love to be with my friends, and try to see them all as often as I can. When I’m with them most of the time is taken up gaming; be it video games or table top games such as Munchkin, Zombies!!!, or Fluxx.
I have been writing to some degree since the sixth grade. As I look back now I know why I was working on various ideas while in the middle of class…I was bored out of my mind. As I matured into high school, I was able to pursue many of my ideas to a better and deeper degree. And now after having been through most of my college career, I can finally publish them to the satisfaction that my sixth grade self had wanted. I hope that the works that are found here offer one and all the entertainment that I set out to give all those years ago. Enjoy!
